〖版主回复〗Well, I am sorry that I don't know exactly the rate of admission to do one's MA thesis. However, I can assure you that you need to have much higher proficiency in the required courses than those who are undergraduates. Therefore, you need to pay much more energy than them. Are you ready to do so? |

Dear Sir,
Many thanks for your help!I will try the new methord you gave me.I have a new question here;I have done 200 reading passages till now since last term.I did make a prograss, though it isnot what I expect.I have no idea that if I should continue to.Sometimes,I felt a little pain, for repeating the same things everyday, reading, writting, memory new words etc.And I donot know if what I do is efficient.I look into about 10 new words which I met when I read.Is it better or not than reciting the words in a vocabulary book? Thanks again! |

〖版主回复〗I have two points to make. 1.you remind me of a book of reading comprehension when you tell me you have finished 200 passages. I think you focus your attention on test too much. My idea is that you need to continue your reading practice, but you must change something. Don't always put test in the first consideration. You can read some English magazine and newspaper, and get some information about the outside world through reading. By such doing, you can not only improve your language proficiency but also become informed around us. What do you think? 2. the best way to enlarge one's vocabulary is to read rather than recite words from a relevant book. That looks a little bit foolish, and just evaluate its effect. What do you think? |

〖版主回复〗Hi, 布谷. I understand you very much, but I have one point to make. Please think about why you are here learning English. I think the purpose that we are here learning English is for us to acquire ability in using English so as assure us a stable job in the future and lay a solid foundation for our future development. Therefore, we cannot put participation of and passing a test in the first consideration. Now I think you know what should be important for you. When you improve your ability so well, how can you fail in any test? |

〖版主回复〗You have two choices at least: 1. a direction in the field of English such as linguistics, literature, translation, culture, foreign politics, etc; 2. a direction in the other fields such as law, journalism, chinese language and literature, pedagogy, etc. Please come back when you have more detailed problems. |

the 1st time i come here,i am sure i like it,not just for i am the student of english depertment, also i think this is a good opportunity to exchange in another way.
Days are typical as before, boring!Maybe everyone is facing a problem such as persisting on doing something,i am exactly the one like this. Many students ask the question like,i want to improve my english, but i dont know how to do ,what to do.like,my english is poor, can you help me? Do you always be tired of these kind of questions? i think if one want to have a great progress in his studing of english,he should stop complaining, that is useless,of course,i believe serching for advice is helpful.Conquering your habit of lazy instead of complaining. Thanks to a boy who is called Wang Ruifeng,he teach me to change the bad mood.if he can see my words, that is my best wish.hope everyone here can gain more, but remember to give, like Wang. i wander if i can consider what i have written as english article? Thanks for watching it |
